That is my plan. Once I know the sex I will start shopping.

The DH and I will get started on our registry at BRU this weekend because the MIL is having a shower for me when we fly out to visit them at the beginning of October and the invites will be going out soon. MIL and SIL called this weekend from BRU and actually asked if they could start the registry for us! Thankfully DH told them to hold their horses and we'd start on it in the next week or so
As far as the nursery goes, we just moved into our house last May & there was a room that was already painted for baby (light yellow walls & a Snoopy & Woodstock mural on one wall) so we just left it. We'll definitely be using that room for LO and we've been thinking about how we'll arrange it and move furniture around to other rooms to make it baby's room and not my craft room. Probably won't start moving stuff for at least another few weeks, although the sooner we start the more help I can be with at least dragging things around so poor DH doesn't have to kill his back moving it all.

I started doing research on products as soon as we found out. I've registered online for a lot of the big things because I want almost everything gender neutral so we can use it for our next child. When we find out the sex then we will finish registering in the store and add some gender specific items (like bedding, clothes, blankets, and a few things for the nursery.
The nursery used to be an office, but we just moved the computer desk downstairs and started painting (light green, much like the bump background color), but we will still have to figure out what to do with a few book cases. I won't get furniture until closer to my shower (late November). I have already started buying stuff though... I found a bumbo on clearance yesterday at Target and I bought a cute little dress at Baby Gap. (have a feeling it's a girl, if not I'll gift it)
My husband and I registered the other night.. not to announce it to anyone yet, but just to start to get a list together. We'll go back to BRU after the 20 wk ultrasound to register for a few gender specific items.
This weekend, we will buy our first big item, the stroller. We'll keep buying our big items slowly from here on out so we don't have to shell out a ton of money at once. We've picked out all of our big items (gender neutral) and have a boy & girl nursery planned around them. Once we find out the sex, we'll slowly start transitioning our office to a nursery this fall. I want to get the bulk of it done before the holidays.
