Me:) I moved here about 5 years ago. It took some getting used to, but now I love the city (but I still hate July and August here because it's an oven!).
I do! We moved here last August when I was 15wks PG - via Chicago and before that NYC. We LOVE Houston. It is a great city - PM me if you would like any suggestions or have questions.
We live in the River Oaks/Upper Kirby area of the city ( which is called the inner-loop) which is a great location. If you move into the city, you want to stay inside the loop. Great areas are Rice Village, my hood, Galleria, Bellaire, Musuem Disrict.
We are moving to a suburb called The Woodlands soon, which is really pretty has great river walk, downtown area and super family oriented.
So glad to hear there are a few Moms in Houston!! I appreciate your feedback and will be PM'ing you ladies soon. We are totally clueless about TX (DH has never even been to the state before!) but hoping to learn more in the coming weeks before our big move!
I live in the SW area; Sugar Land/ Katy. Let me know if you have any questions I can help with. (Sorry for the late reply - I don't get on here as much as I used to.) Good luck with the move!
