Every time I make coffee it tastes so bitter..what am I doing wrong?  My dad makes the best coffee, and he even makes it great in my coffee pot, so I don't think it's that.  I use Dunkin Donuts coffee also....so how much do you put in per cup?

I always go by 1 tbsp of coffee per "cup" of water.  I think they use 6 oz as a cup but I'm not sure, I just use the pot to measure the water.

I put in eight cups of water (using the pot to measure) and four 1/8 cup scoops of coffee.  My mom bought me the 1/8 measuring cup specifically for this purpose and I think my coffee has been better ever since then.

I think DD coffee tastes like crap.  sorry. switch coffee.  also, I put 10-12 cups water and use a half cup measure of coffee.
