So....is your hubs working?  I'm a nosey mcnoserton.....is he union?  Maybe my hubs needs to come down there and sign the books, then we can have us some playdates!

No he is not union and he does have a job. They take great care of him.

I'm sorry he's not working I'm hearing that lots of union workers cannot find work. Would he have better luck if he were not union?

There are about 500 union guys laid off here (Indianapolis and 50 mile radius around there).  H is about #170 or so.  He was only in the union about 1.5 yrs before he was laid off, and has been laid off just as long now. At this point he doesn't have much loyalty!  lol. 

I don't think it would matter...he still talks to his former boss (non-union company) where he was for 7+ years and they'd love to have him back....but they've went from  20+ employees to 4, I think.  There have been a few ads, but he's a L/B/I'd master, and most are hiring helpers. 

Our local just approved some changes for optional pay rates/benefits, so he may actually go out on his own around the first of the year.  We'll see!
