Anyone's DH really protective?

Dh and I have MIL or my mom watch DD on the days DH is not working (about 2 days a week) and then he watches her till I get home at 2:30 the rest of the days.

My mom is no longer going to be able to help with DD in Sept.  MIL could probably do it but I think it would be a lot for her.  DH does not trust anyone else watching DD for the day.  I am going to have to see what I can work out with my work for watching her those 2-3 days a month MIL can't.

He just automatically thinks the worst will happen he doesn't even like to think about anyone watching her.

Anyone else have a protective DH?  Anything I can do to ease his fears?

  • My DH is super protective; I am not any help though.  We have not let anyone but my mom and MIL watch her.

  • he can be sometimes. we once had an issue because i was saying we should get a friend to sit for us while we went to see a movie, and he was like "i don't trust any of our friends to watch her!!" despite the fact that at least two sets of our couple friends are also parents and have spent time with our LO and would be more than happy to watch her for a couple hours.

come to think of it, we still haven't seen that dang movie! Super Angry

  • My DH is super protective also.  He doesn't even like to have his own mom watch DD because she has our two nephews also.  Afraid that DD will not get the proper attention she needs.  So far only my mom, MIL, and my sister are approved babysitters.

     Good luck!
