TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Random Poll.

So I'm curious.

Where do you keep your "I'm infertile drugs?"

In the kitchen?   Or the bathroom?

I'm fascinated to see how people keep their meds in different places.

I used to keep them in the bathroom, but my DH grew up keeping his in the kitchen.  So I've moved my meds.  So I shoot up in the kitchen.  Part of the problem with that is that I feel like I have to clean the kitchen before I can shoot up.  Weird.

Like I said - random. :)

Re: Random Poll.

  • I just have clomid and progesterone, so they're pills. They stay in the kitchen so I remember to take them :)

  • Outside of my vitamins, I only have prog supplements.  I keep them in the bathroom.

  • we have a drawer in kitchen with all vitamins, pain pills, etc. my injectibles are in fridge - but I'm looking to phase that out since I'm not using them for awhile again (or at least another month). I'm sick of my fridge being taken over.

that said, I take my inject into bathroom to shoot up. I can't imagine standing in kitchen doing it. also, our neighbors dining room windows face our kitchen (I live in the city) - so that's just what I need, his 7 year old daughter watching me shoot up!

  • I only have vitamins and then clomid right now.  I am not taking the clomid until I meet with my new OB so that will be at least one more cycle because I wanted DH to go with me to the first apt. so I had to wait until the 27th.  Right now they are stored in the bathroom, but I have a weekly medicine holder that I put the medicine in for the week and then keep that in the kitchen.

  • I keep all my meds in the kitchen.  I shoot up either at the kitchen counter...or if there are people around...I bring my needle into the half bath off the kitchen and shoot up in there!  Gotta love it!
  • Only taking pills right now, and they're kept in the kitchen.  I always stored any kind of meds in the bathroom, but DH started putting them in the kitchen, so we compromised.  Anything we take daily or frequently (like Tylenol) is in the kitchen.  Other meds (allergy, cold & flu, etc...) are under the sink in the bathroom.

  • Gonal-F and Ovidrel were (and some still are) in the fridge.

    Lovenox and Endometrium in bathroom.

Most of my vitamins and FA are in the kitchen, but the FA 1 mg tablets are by my bed, because I take them at night.

    So, I'm spread out.

  • We finally have a big kitchen so I have a whole "me" cupboard with coffee stuff and pills... a whole freaking shelf of pills. I imagine when I move on to the shots and stuff I'll probably keep them in the same place unless refridgeration is needed.

  • i keep mine in a hight kitchen cabinet.  i used to keep them in my bathroom but DS figured out very easily how to open the drawer w/ the child lock on it so i needed to find a new spot.

  • I only have an Ovidrel shot which has to be kept in the fridge...........The pre-natals are in my desk drawer in my office at work........that's it for me for now.....When I start IVF, Im pretty sure I'll keep the drugs in my bathroom.
  • I have a drawer in the kitchen away from the stove and sink.  I heard you aren't suppose to keep pills in the bathroom because of the heat and high humidity.

  • Well, I find that fascinating!  Thanks girls.
  • My prenatals are actually in the living room.  We have a coffee table with cubbies and one of them has all of my vitamins (4bottles).  I spread out taking them between dinner and bed and that's where I spend most of my evenings.  When I took Clomid and when I take Tamoxifen next month, it'll live with the vitamins.

My progesterone lives on my nightstand because I take one in the a.m. & one in the p.m. and get horizontal in my bed after each insertion.

My ovidrel lives in the fridge, of course, but I shoot up in the bathroom.  My ovdirel supplies (gauze, sharps) live in my bedroom closet.

Wow.  I am super random.  Our home is a 1000 sq ft condo, so none of these rooms are *that* far apart.

  • I keep my estrogen pills, vitamins and baby apirin in the bathroom cabinet, I have some meds that have to go in fridge so those are in a hidden drawer in our fridge. The rest of the meds and needles go in our hallway closet outside our bedroom that has a bunch of shelves. I'm always worried someone is going to get nosy and open the closet full of medicine and needles.
