I'm interested in buying either the Rainforest Cradle or the Papasan Cradle swings, but they've both received some pretty bad reviews on Amazon and BRU websites, including potential fire hazard because people have smelled burnt plastic around the motor or something to that effect. Naturally this gives me pause but I'm regretful as I was looking very much to having a swing replace my rocking arms to put DD to sleep.
Have you had any issues with your swing? How long have you had yours? Which one do you have?

We have both the FisherPrice Aquarium and the FishPrice Lamb whatever one.
While I do have many complaints about the swings, safety is definitely not one of them. I haven't smelled anything burning or had anything break etc.
We have the Fisher Price Lamb swing and LOVE it. Our baby has reflux and it's the only thing he'll sleep in because it keeps him from being flat on his back. Half the time, we don't even turn the swing on, but he loves the mirror and the sound effects.
One complaint; I agree with PP. The lowest setting was too fast for a newborn. Our baby didn't take to the swing until he was about 3 weeks old. By then he weighed enough that it slowed things down a bit!
We have the Fisher-Price Papasan Cradle Swing - My Little Lamb and it is a must-have in our house. We love it!!!

We have the Little Lamb swing and LO is spoiled rotten and his held a ton and this is one of the only things that keeps him content as much as being held.
The only complaint I have is the seat leans to the left a bit so the right leg tips up off the floor just a tad, nothing major. DH looked and it and can't figure out how to make it stay in one place.
Even if I would've known the swing leaned a bit, I still would've got this swing. It's a life saver.
