Toddler girl peeing/PT questions

Natalie has not been one to be easily convinced of the joy in using the toilet.

She's used it a few times.....and a couple times she has totally sprayed out the front.  She's sitting on a padded toddler ring seat, but its like there is so much force, she sprays all over the floor/me.  I try to get her to rock her hips so that it would be angled down more, but it doesn't help enough.

Is this common?  Is it just because she's holding it too long?

Re: Toddler girl peeing/PT questions

  • It is common and I had B scoot back a little more and rest her arms kind of on her lap, I found the spraying happened because she wouldn't sit right or was busy trying to watch how it came out.

  • Common.  Tell her to lean forward, not backward and not to watch it come out. :)

  • Has happened here a few times. Just make sure there's plenty of daylight between her little legs when she's sitting.

  • It is common - let others have said, I have taught my girls to sit a little further back and get them to lean forward - which actually helps them get more pee out, sort of like you are told when you are pregnant.
