I'm such a complete novice here, do I need to look for a triple stroller and car seats of the same brand so that the seats will go from car to stroller? Does this even exist in the triplet world? Any recommendations for me regarding a stroller and car seats for the triplet (as DH likes to call them)?
Re: Help with strollers and infant car seat (for triplets)
Here are a couple of threads I have saved on the topic:

SNG stands for Baby Trend's Snap and Go and DSNG stands for Baby Trend's Double Snap and Go. These frames go with a few inexpensive infant car seats (around $100-150) including the Baby Trend Galaxy Flex Lock and the Graco Snugride.
It's a confusing decision. On one hand the SNG + infant seat is a less expensive solution that will probably be okay while they are in the infant seats. But once they are out of infant seats you will have to get something else.
The general concensus seems to be that at some point you are going to want a triple stoller. So I'm thinking about starting out with the Peg Perego Triple Stroller and the carseats that go with it. I'm just trying to get over the sticker shock as the stroller runs around $1,000 new and each infant seat is $200-250.
This is exactly what I've been thinking, but I'm worrying that I'm missing something that is more affordable. It's really tough because it seems the options for triplets is severely limited.
We decided to start with two strollers - one single and one double snap n go. If I have to go out with three babies by myself (you know, if I lose my effing mind), I'll wear one and put the other two in the DSNG.
We're getting three Graco SnugRides that will fit three across in the backseat of my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe or DH's 2003 Dodge Durango. The SnugRides are a perfect fit in the SNG strollers.
We test drove a Peg Perego Triplette stroller this weekend (saw one for $500 at a consignment sale - I've seen them for $250 on Craigslist), and it was just as huge as it seems. We decided for good that it's more hassle than it's worth because we'd either have to spend the extra money on the Peg car seats or always lug around three car seats and three stroller seats.
The Triplette doesn't fold up, really, it just collapses flat - but only after you remove the stroller/car seats. For it to fit in my car, we'd have to strap the frame onto a bike rack at the back of my car.
Waaaaay too much hassle.
Once we're tired of pulling in/out infant seats, we'll have one baby in a single stroller (looking at a Bumbleride Flite if we're feeling spendy) and two in the Baby Jogger City Mini Double.
I've obviously thought about this A LOT.
There are a few ways you can go...
Graco infant seats and the Triple Decker, plus the single and double Snap n Gos. This is what we did, and later got the Peg Triplette, plus a single stroller and the Combi double. BY FAR we used the single and doubles together more than the triples. BUT there are times when you will really, really wish (I'll stop short of saying *need*) a triple stroller. You just have to know what your lifestyle is going to be. Will you ever be taking them out alone? If so, a triple stroller will save your sanity. If you don't think you will be alone with them a lot, then you can get by with singles and doubles.
Alternatively, you can do the Peg from the beginning, but as has been pointed out, it's big. It's really no biggie to take off the seats to stow it in the car. But yeah, it's a beast.

this is pretty much what we're doing now. Graco snugride infant seats in a double and a single snap n go. If one of us goes out with all 3 alone we wear one in the Bjorn.
we bought a peg perego on Craigslist for $300 but haven't tried it out yet b/c the babies are still too small.
we'd also like to look for some type of triple jogging stroller for off-roading.
we did the graco duo rider (double) and a graco single with car seats!!! worked perfect for us!!! and now we have the valco trimode with joey when my mom and i go out to target we put one baby in the shopping cart with the "floppy" cart cover and 2 of the babies in the stroller. so there are still lots of options!! this worked the best for us.
good luck and happy hunting!
