Cloth Diapering

One Size Diapers

Hi.  I'm pregnant w/my first and am considering one size cloth diapers.  What are your experiences/advice with these and how many would I need?  Thanks in advance.

Re: One Size Diapers

  • Just an FYI, OS diapers tend to not fit until your LO is at least 10 lb. They didn't work with DD until she was closer to 12 lb.

I have a variety of them, from Fuzzibunz to Blueberry to BumGenius. I probably have a couple dozen CDs and wash every other day.

  • We're starting out with a variety of types to try.  Covers, prefolds, fitteds, and pockets just to get a handle of everything.  Right now the brands we're trying are:

    Imse vimse newborn soft wraps
Three Monkeys Cloth Diapers PUL covers

    Green Mountain Diapers NB prefolds
    Kissaluvs size 0 fitteds
Ecobaby Organics Absorbs it alls fitteds (newborn)

    Fuzzi Bunz xs pockets

I ended up getting myself a size small stash as well, just to continue trying new things, and it includes more Fuzzi Bunz, an Econobum cover with prefold, infant prefolds, Bummi's Super Whisper wraps, and a few others as well (including an AI2).  I am looking into potentially getting a set of 12 BG 4.0's with snaps, and a Flip day box, to start off my One Size stash, but I need to get 1 BG 4.0 to try out first, and a flip single.

  • It depends on how much you wash. I probably have 30 diapers and I never run out.  I love BG 3.0s (4.0s are out now too) and Smartipants. I didnt love BG organics
