what age do you plan on using a shopping cart cover till? (assuming you use one) I notice many with babies are using them but at toddler age I rarely see them being used. My DD is 20 months and someone just gave me a new one. I'm wondering if I should use it or just pass it on to someone with a younger child.
Re: Using shopping cart covers for toddlers?
I really dont remember exactly when we stopped, but it was before 18 mos for sure. DS would just rip it off.
This, but it was because we couldn't buckle him in with the cover on except at a couple stores, even with the strap as loose as possible. He's not a fat baby at all, but the bulk of the cover was too much. He does fine without it.

My DD just turned 2 and I probably stopped using it a few months ago. She doesn't try to lick the push bar anymore (ick!!) so I just wipe the cart now and go.
I'd probably pass it along to someone unless you want to save it for another child.

I still use mine because DS has food allergies and tends to get hives from the carts.
I still use it when we shop and in the high chairs at restaurants. Don't plan on stopping anytime soon (major germaphobe).
My typically developing DD hasn't used hers in over a year--when she stopped licking and touching everything. My DD who has special needs still needs it, because she'll lick the cart or flop over a bit and the cart cover makes it easier to squeeze in our blankets so that she can still sit up.
I'd never seen the double cover. I'll have to look for that so that they can both sit together.
