Similac Sensitive vs. Enfamil Gentlease

Are these comparable?  I thought they were the same thing, but after looking at the Up & Up brand equivalents, there is one that is "partially broken down whey protein" that is compared to Gentlease, but the one that is compared to Similac Sensitive is "lactose senstive powder."  Are these two formulas for totally different things?  They both say for fussiness and gas..

Re: Similac Sensitive vs. Enfamil Gentlease

  • My DD does so much better on the Sim. Sens. than the Gentlease.  I dont know why but I see a huge difference.

  • My LO has been doing great on the Enfamil Gentlease, granted it has only been 2 days, but i see a huge difference in her gas and fussiness. It used to take an hour to get her back to sleep after a feeding, but now she falls alsleep on her own!

  • Lo has been on Sim for over a week and no real problems. Sometimes it takes forever to get her down and sometimes she is gassy but is a bottle baby. Just try them each unless your LO has an allergy
  • my pediatrician recommended gentease..

This.  And it's been about 2 weeks (I think) and DS is doing great.  I'm not sure what if any difference there is...

  • My LO is on Sim sensitive and we were told by pedi that that were the same so we tried it (we had gotten some for free and really wanted to use it) and DD hated it! She cried while taking it not sure if it was just a diff. taste or if it was a diff texture but she literally cried while we were trying to feed it to her. Then she spit it all up because she is lactose intolerant and the enfilmil is not 100% lactose free.
