Quick Hi and Birth story...

Cooper is at the nursery being watched after his circumcision, so I thought I'd take a minute and drop in.

1 - HI!!! And thank you to everyone for all the kinds words. I love this board!

2 - So, here's my story. I guess it started out when I took Jax to Walmart...that was a bit of a chore Lots of walking around which is always helpful for extra contractions. Then DH and I had a little afternoon delight (hehe) and almost immediately I began contracting. It was naptime, so I laid down too and slept a little, but was feeling the contractions a lot. After Jax got up, I took him outside until my mom got home and then I went back and laid down and started timing things. I was contracting every 2-5 minutes and they hurt a lot. More than they did on Monday. But, I was worried that still nothing was happening, and I knew DH would be mad if we went to L&D and got sent home, so I tried to wait and wait and wait. Finally around 7pm I called the service and told them what was going on. The midwife I talked to said that if I wasn't progressed more than Monday, they'd monitor me a couple hours and send me home, but if I had progressed any then they would start my c/s. Well, on Monday I was 2 cm, and last night when we got here I was 3-4. So, they got everything moving and I went in for my c/s and Cooper was born at 11:45 pm. 13 is my lucky # (my bday is 6/13) so I'm so glad they got him out in time for that birthday!!

He did have to go to the NICU b/c he had a little trouble breathing. But they brought him back to us around 5am. He is so sweet and has already breastfed 2 times and seems to be a Champ at it!!

Mommy has had almost no sleep, but I"m feeling pretty good.

I have pictures posted on my FB, but can't pip on this computer, but will try as soon as I can. Might use DH's computer when I get another break.

Awww, congrats hon! I know you were ready to have him. Glad everything went well and he is feeding. Try to take a nap when you can and keep posting. I will have to check out FB for pics.
