An aquaintance has a coffee machine that I'm trying to find. It's a big stainless steel beast that is a coffee maker/cappuccino maker all in one. The best thing about it though is that it has a water reservoir and a place for coffee beans. You set the machine to your desired strength of coffee and hit the button, then it grinds and brews just one cup at a time to your specifications. It just uses regular coffee beans- no pods, k-cups or anything like that.
Anyone know where I could find something like this? I haven't had any luck googling it- I just keep coming up with some Cuisinart product and that isn't it. FWIW, I suspect that this machine is most likely super-expensive...I wouldn't be surprised if it was $1k+, but I'm just curious to find more information about it...
Re: Anyone know where to find a coffee maker like this?
I know I've seen really expensive ones at Willams-Sonoma that grind the beans but I'm not sure if they just make one cup at a time.

Ack. Nevermind. Just found it myself.
Retails $4,500, on sale for $3,200. Um yeah, so I'm not putting it on my Christmas list this year after all. Did I mention that said acquaintance is quite wealthy so I suspected that it was totally out of my league, LOL?
If you want to know what a $4,500 coffee/espresso machine looks like here ya go:

That's fancy!
I have a coworker who splurged on something like this a few years ago (I think it was more like 2K, but that's still crazy). It makes a damn good latte though.
Think about it - if you go spend 3 bucks a latte at Starbucks, this would pay for itself in about 1000 lattes That's a latte a day for about 3 years
I work at WS and am obsessed w/those!
