Hi Ladies! I have to do the 24hr protein test as they said i have some protein in my urine. What does that usually mean? She said 1+ was found...and that if it was 2+ or 3+ etc then they'd worry about it. Not sure what that means. I also have some sugar in it too but i drank sprite for lunch and ate some orange tic tacs right before not even thinking...my feet are swollen and my BP was good.

Protein in the urine may be an indication of pre-eclampsia. Its standard for doctors to order the 24 hour urine collection when its 1+, but like they told you, there's no cause for concern until its higher. I had a 1+ also and did the urine collection. Everything came back fine and every subsequent protein test was fine too. I carried until my scheduled c-section at 36w6d. I know its difficult, but there's no reason to worry.

I had to do my first 24 hour collection around 32 weeks.  Everything came back fine.  Then I had to do another at 34.5 weeks.  Results showed much more protein in my urine and it was time to have the babies.

Just take it day by day.  Try not to stress about it!  And rest!

Oh no...just one more thing to worry about now.  Sorry you have to deal with this.  Hope it ends up being no big deal after your 24 hour collection.  Hang in there mama!
