Can you block someone's number from texting/calling you?

Long story short, a friend from high school found me on FB.  He was coming out to Denver for a friend's wedding so I said to give me a call.  Well he seriously texts me non stop now.  It has crossed over to innapropriate/creepy.  I have told him this numerous times to back off. 

As an added insult I don't have unlimited texting so I am now in no-man's land.  I can imagine how much I'll have to pay this month.

Please help!

Call your carrier. You should be able to block his number. It won't keep him from using a different number to call if he really is intent on contacting you though.

Have you talked to your service provider?  They may be able to block him.

Your only other option may be to change numbers.

There is a feature that is $3.99/month and you can block up to 15 numbers for both texting and calling.  It's blocking the texts that are expensive.  I have AT&T (and do not like it).
