Babies: 9 - 12 Months

When did you switch to size 4 diapers?

I want to take advantage of the Amazon coupon for diapers, but not sure if I should still stock up on size 3's.  DD is 20.5 lbs...

Re: When did you switch to size 4 diapers?

  • We're still in 3's & will probably be for a little while. DD is a peanut though. Not sure what she weighs as she goes to the pedi on Monday, but she's JUST starting to fit into some of her 12 month clothes.

  • We switched at around eight months. He is only around 20 pounds, but it's all in his thighs, so we needed bigger diapers to fit around them.
  • He has been in size 4 diapers at least 2 months.
  • We've been in size 4 for about 2 months so when DD was 9 months old. We use Pampers Baby Dry. I think she'll be in them for a long time. She still has lots of room to grow.
  • Never!

I know, I'm not helpful in the least. My guy is a peanut, too. Somewhere b/t 17-18 pounds. We'll be in 3's for a really long time.

Um, yeah. The Bump be too crazy for pics of my kid.
  • DD's 19lbs so we'll be in 3's for a little longer.  I would say if your baby is starting to leak out then you might want to move up.
  • My DD was 20 lbs 4 oz at her 9 mo appt and we just switched to size 4s.  They are working great.  The 3s were starting to look like low cut bikinis!

  • still in Pampers Baby Dry 3's. DS is 24lbs and always 95% for height.

But the 3's are still working for him!

  • We are still in size 3's (and will be for awhile) and DD will be 1 in a few weeks.  She is little bitty though.  She is still wearing mostly 6 month clothes.

  • My LO is almost 9 months and we switched over to size 5 two weeks ago!!!  I can't remember when he went into a 4 - maybe around May?  He stayed in a size 4 the longest of all the sizes so far.  I have a big baby boy!!!
  • I made the switch around 7 months.  I just like the bigger diapers more.  Seem to have less leaks that way.  BTW, I get the target brand diapers - they save so much money and work wonderfully.

  • We just switched to 3's about a month or 2 ago. We use Huggies and the 3's go from 16-28 lbs. I was thinking we'd be in 3's for quite a while (she still has about 8-9lbs to go towards the upper limit).

  • DS just hit 21 lbs yesterday and we moved up to size 4 for out nightime diaper (we CD during the day)
  • We're still in size 3 too. S is about 19lbs so I think we'll be in them for a little bit yet.

  • DD is almost 21 lbs. but is still comfortably in 3's.  She is long and starting to lean out though so I think they'll fit her for awhile.

  • DS is using up the last of his size 3's. We just bought a pack of size 4's. Baby has a Buddha Belly!

    :)
  • We will be switching to 4s in a week or two. They are starting to give him wedgies and thats no fun when he poops.
