Bodysuits - when do you stop?

I'm looking at clothes for fall & winter (and maybe some for next summer if on sale.) At what age do snap-bottom body suits become obsolete?

This is for Margo, not me.

Re: Bodysuits - when do you stop?

  • I haven't worn a body suit since I was 13.  Nate hasn't worn one since he was just over 1.

  • I think at least Carters sells them until 24 mos. I think we stopped putting Holly in them around 1 yr, maybe earlier. She doesn't really wear any one piece outfits, except for dresses. I know there are some people who do them longer, but I just feel like separates are easier for diaper changing, getting dressed, etc.

I think my 6th grade school pic is in a turtleneck bodysuit with a vest. ;)

  • Luke still has several at 15 months and I bought a few for the winter. I still find them convenient b/c he has a small waist and his pants sag at times so the bodysuits keep his belly covered instead of it hanging out.
  • I have a few onesies, but don't really like them. I think we stopped wearing anything that snapped up around the legs/crotch around 9 months. As soon as she wouldn't hold still to change her, it became more hassle than it was worth. I am not a fan of onesies right now either, it seems too time consuming!

  • I stopped onesies at 12 months.

  • If I could fins some maternity ones, I'd still be wearing my bodysuits Stick out tongue

I think we stopped letting C wear them around 14-15 moths--we would've stopped at 1 year, but they were really nice for the winter to keep cold air away from baby boy's skin.

Haha, I got a wedgie just thinking about this, luckygirl :)

  • Keira wore them under her PJ's during the winter/early spring. She does not have any now, but does have some long sleeved ones for the fall/winter that  go under dresses as an outfit. For other clothes though, I probably won't buy her any.

These both made me totally LOL!  I think I had a turtleneck bodysuit that I liked to wear when I was 12 or 13.  It's just embarassing.
