Trouble TTC

Hi...

We have been trying since 6/08, currently on 21st cycle, started charting temps 11/09.  My CD3 bloodwork was normal, had progesterone drawn once it was 10.6 (7dpo)....SA results 53 motility, RE likes >60; 0.5 morphology, RE likes >4. RE suggests IUI with Clomid. You think after all this time we would jump right into iui but we have decided to wait (who knows for what). We have one child that we had no trouble with and now just hoping for a miracle. In the meantime is there other tests or anything we should/could be doing with the RE?

Re: Hi...

  • Hi, sorry you are having trouble :(. The only other test I can think of is having an HSG, that's where they insert a catheter into your cervix and release dye, as they are doing this they take x-rays to make sure your tubes are open and the uterus is ok. Maybe you could have them check this before you head to clomid and iui. Good Luck!

  • Hi, sorry you have to be here. Did you have an HSG done to check the fallopian tubes? If they're not clear, IUI won't be able to help at all.

  • Hi, I am sorry you are going through this. Good news that all your tests results came back good so far. I would insist on having a HSG as the other ladies mentioned. I went for a 2nd opinion because the 1st RE I saw didn't think I needed it. I am glad I did because I found out I have a polyp or fibroid on my uterus that I may need removed. It is better to get everything checked out before starting treatment. Good Luck!

  • Welcome...sorry you have to be here!

I would also definitely suggest an HSG. Nothing will help if you have blocked tubes. I would also ask for a second SA. My DH also had low morph. Insurance actually required a second SA before we could start any treatment. Unfortunately our numbers were basically the same...but sometimes the numbers will change; which might give you a little more hope?

    Good luck!
