Do you do anything for LO at daycare? Do you take snacks, etc? I'm not sure that they do anything at LO's daycare, at least not in the baby room.
A few coworkers asked me this, and it was like "OMG, like I have time to scrape together anything else!"
Maybe I'm just a bad mom..but with his party this weekend I am pooped.

I always take cupcakes for their birthdays. We're only allowed to bring store-bought, for food allergy reasons. They eat them at snack time instead of their regularly scheduled snack food.
Neither of the kids were in daycare on their first birthdays, so I don't know what I would have done in that sense. Probably muffins, cookies, or something without icing.
FWIW, there are plenty of parents who don't bring stuff in for birthdays. On the other hand there are parents who go as far as to bring in goodie bags for all the kids. I say do whatever you feel motivated enough to do!
1st birthday - eh, I wouldn't. (it wasn't a school day on DD's exact bday so we just ignored the issue)
2nd birthday - I took in cupcakes leftover from her party. They served them at snacktime.
3rd birthday she wasn't in school at the time.
I've never seen anything come home like goodie bags (though some parents give them out at Easter, Valentines, Halloween and Christmas) Pretty much just cupcakes.
I brought little goodie bags for the kids for Joe's 1st bday. I think they had a little "My 1st Birthday" rubber duckie and something else. For his second birthday, we brought cupcakes that my MIL had made for the class. This year, we'll probably do cupcakes again.
Only one other parent from Joe's class has ever done goodie bags and I am not sure how many do cupcakes, but it is def not 100% of the parents.
My kids weren't in school until they were in their 2nd year, but some moms did things as simple as bring in a few stickers for each kid. And others didn't do anything. I don't think anyone expects anything.
