Re: Bradley Method

  • Haven't labored with it yet, but have to tell you - I know 400% more than most people who don't take classes or don't do Bradley about what to expect in all realms of labor, my body and after birth... and so does DH.

As such, we are not only NOT nervous/fearful/anxious about L&D, but actually excited to go through it.

We've also built great relationships with our instructor (who will be my free doula) and our class.

     I highly recommend it!

  • I used it for my hospital birth and successfully went med-free. Then I become a Bradley teacher myself this year. I highly recommend it (of course) and the 12 weeks is well worth your time and money. Like carpozi said, you will learn so much about your body, labor, and even the relationship between you and your partner will strengthen. If you have any more questions you can email me birthispowerful@gmail.com

  • DH & I used the Bradley method for DS's birth and it was wonderful. DS did show up early and I ended up missing the last couple classes but what we did learn was so beneficial and really prepared both of us for our birth. I was able to have a med-free hospital birth and I truly feel that the techniques we learned helped me achieve it.
  • Ditto the previous posters! I really believe the Bradley Method helped a lot. My birth story is in my blog (link in siggy).

Ditto all of this!  I know that DH and I both feel SO much more confident and informed going into the birth process than we would have otherwise.

  • Yep, it was great and I definitely have to give it credit for my successful epi-free birth experience.

This was my experience too (minus the coming early and missing classes part).  I highly recommend the bradley classes.
