Pain on my left side

Hello ladies!

So I have pretty bad pain on my left side on and off every few days. The pain is on the left front side of my body down about 2 inches from my belly button and at the exact same place on my back. It comes and goes but when it is here it is BAD. I called my Doctor and she said that they will take a look at it when I come in for my next appt (2 weeks) and I should come in at once if it becomes "crippling" pain or if it becomes constant. I have a very high pain tolerance so crippling for others may not be crippling for me. I know it isn't an ectopic pregnancy because I already had a u/s and saw my little Nugget right where it was supposed to be. So any thoughts of what might be causing this pain? Has anyone else had something similar? Just wondering. TIA!

Well, I don't know if I am experiencing the same thing or not. I just went yesterday to be checked for ectopic because of this pain. I wouldn't say it is BAD - just rather annoying and does bother me some. The only way I could describe it to the nurse is the pain you get in your side when you are running. Also could describe it as the pain I felt in my ribs when Paige would put her feet there during my last pregnancy. It doesn't just stay in my side though - it radiates across my stomach - about two inches about my belly button. And it is also in my back! I just have to lay down when I get it to get it to go away. But I have a desk job and then I sit a lot when I get home. And with my first pregnancy I was on my feet the whole time. So I don't know if that makes a difference or not. Because I really only notice this pain when I am sitting.Sorry I know I am no help. The dr. said if the pain worsens to call but right now there is nothing wrong so nothing they can do.

I've had the same exact thing, typically on my left side and it's been attributed to Round Ligament Pain. Mine does sort of feel like something inside is being pulled and it's slightly above my pubic bone. Perhaps you're havin the same thing?

I've been having the exact same thing. Mentioned it at the OB this am and he wasn't concerned. I really think it's just things growing, my uterus getting heavier and causing some strain on the ligaments and the like. It's definitely not crippling, but doesn't go away when I'm laying down either. Comes and goes for no rhyme or reason, but seems to be worse if I've been standing for awhile. Hope it turns out to be nothing for both of us!

Thanks ladies! After reading the link I think it sounds like the ligament pain. So I guess I'm just feeling some growing pains!

When I was pregnant with my daughter my ob discovered I had a floating left ovary. Not sure exactly what it means, but I will get a pain there every now and then, and I would when I would get my period...maybe the samething?
