Am I going to die? (spoiled food mentioned)

I bought some organic almond butter that I've been using in my morning smoothies for a few weeks. I finally used the last of it today and AS I THREW AWAY THE CONTAINER I noticed that it said "refrigerate after opening"....it's been in my cupboard for weeks and I've been eating it every day.

LOL.  You're fine.  I think there are a lot of things that have that suggestion that people don't know about.  For example, the container of raisins I've had in the pantry for a couple of months now says it should be refrigerated after opening.  Really? Raisins? Who knew.

See, if it were me, I would HOPE for a touch of the stomach flu. I usually lose like 8lbs. Only like 14 bouts of stomach flu and I will be at my goal weight. LOL

LOL.  I think you will live.  Especially if you have eaten it for weeks with no issue.  DH use to insist that ketchup didn't need refrigerated and there was no note on the bottle.  I was so glad when they started putting that on the label so he would let me put it in the fridge.

My mother never puts ketchup in the fridge! She hates cold ketchup. Her reasoning: It's always out in packets at McDonalds and sitting on tables in restaurants. So why do I have to put it in the fridge?

That is a good point, & really, it's better not cold.  Restaurants let it sit out for 12 hours a day!
