Darn it!

I promised myself that I would not stress over all of my phantom symptoms this cycle.... and at 7DPO, I've been doing very well. I haven't gotten my hopes up at all- I've been taking everything day by day.

Until last night.

I had a dream- I was sitting in front of my mother (she passed away 3 years ago). I turned around and asked her for a ciggarette. I told her I needed something to relax from all the cramps I was having. (I've never smoked before in my life). So she handed me one and I lit it with the tip of her ciggarette.

I took the biggest inhale ever... I actually felt lightheaded in my dream. After exhaling I turned around and asked her if this was safe to do when trying to get pregnant. She laughed and said- "Jennifer, don't be silly. You're already pregnant!". So I looked at her and asked if she was going to stick around ...and with a sad expression asked if she was just a ghost. She smiled at me and then dissappeared. That's when I woke up.

Now how the heck do I ignore this?! Screw the stomach cramps, tender boobs, CM. I can get past all that. But my mom in a dream? Seriously? The next week is going to be so brutal!

Needless to say I just HAD to poas this morning. I know it's way too early, but I'd go bonkers today without knowing. As expected, it was a BFN- and i'm going to wait to do it again until AF is due.... but man oh man, what a way to close out my 2WW.

Wow. Got some goosebumps there! I think everyone gets crazy dreams when TTC is all you're thinking about, but it would be awfully cool if you get that BFP after this. GL!

There's always something to tempt us into POAS when it's too early, but we just think maybe I'll get lucky and see that line. Hope your dream comes true!

Ummm yeah, major goosebumps.  I am so a big believer in stuff like that.  My grandmother came to me in a dream the night before she passed away and told me that she wasn't sick anymore, she felt fantastic, and that she loved me.  My sister had the exact same dream, and next day my grandmother was declared brain dead, and we had to take her off life support.  I understand not trying to get your hopes up, but I'll get my hopes up for you!

When you told that story it reminded me of that old show, Providence with Melina Kanakaredes. Her mom always popped in and out and talked to her in her dreams and the mom was always smoking a cigarette.

Oh man...I was getting goosebumps too!  I also believe in the power of dreams...and since you're 7dpo, maybe she was telling you you're pregnant because your LO implanted today?  Gah...I'd be POAS at 10 / 11dpo if I were you!!

Ok, can we just continue with the goose bumps....?! My mom and I were huge fans of this show- she always said that the daughter reminded her of me... The curly hair, i think?  But how absolutley crazy that you bring this up!! I actually forgot all about this show until you just mentioned it- so very strange!

I really do hope this dream comes true- And not for the reason of wanting to have a child-I kind of just want it to come true because i'll have proof that my mom is still with me.

And- if you want to get a little more deep into this... AF is due on 8/16. A year to the day my Dad passed away. And If I were to get pregnant this cycle- the baby's due date would be 4 years to the date my mom passed away. Granted, the odds of it happening on the exact day is unlikely, however, it's nice to see the date in FF as the expected date, and hoping I get the BFP on my dad's anniversary.

Geeze- i really need to get back to work. Need to keep busy to keep sane!

That's a pretty amazing dream.  It's comforting to feel that your mom is still with you knowing what is happening and especially when it's when you're TTC.  My sister got her BFP on the exact day the year after my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  It was like he brought new life where there was death.  Makes me teary thinking about it. 

Good luck I will be thinking about you and have my fingers crossed!
