I read a book once where one characters' name was Loveday. It took place in England during WW 2. Not sure if Loveday is more common in England or was back then? I don't hate it but would never name my daughter that!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure thats where the OP got the name. Some of us tried to talk sense into her, but a marjority of the berryites were all "oh people are so rude; it's a beautiful name". I just don't get it sometimes.
I would imagine Loveday is derived from the English surname. One of the few surnames, that while technically masculine, could easily be feminine. I still wouldn't use it--sounds like a riddle for Valentine.

Yup! It's not at all unheard of in England (though I wouldn't say popular). Personally, it just sounds too 'phrase like' for me though... never understood that one.
