Having a super hero birthday party and my DS is always wanting to do spiderwebs. I was thinking silly string would be fun for the kids to "shoot" each other with. But is that safe?
O.M.G. I can't believe you'd consider allowing evil Silly String at a 5 year old's party! I read about tragic Silly String fatalities at least once a week around here!!!!
You should be having a bubble party, where each kid is fully enclosed in his or her own bubble.
I googled silly string death and came up with a big nada. My kids like it, but we only let adults operate the cans. DD is 4, but she has a tendency not to face the sprayer the right way.

Hey in this day and age you never know what parents are going to freak out about. To me it's no big deal but I don't know about some other parent - thats why I thought i'd check on here. Our society has gotten us so paranoid about everything related to children and babies!
If you're concerned (or think there will be parents who are concerned) why not use it as a game. Instead of pin the tail on whatever, blindfold the kids and have them try to "web" pictures of bad guys?
