Anyone buy a crib (or plan on buying a crib) that does not convert to a toddler bed (or then some)? There is a PBK crib I love and a JCP lookalike. Two JCP cribs would cost me the same as one PBK crib. However the PBK crib becomes a toddler bed (with a conversion kit) and the JCP crib is a crib only.If you do a crib only, once your LO's are climbing out of the crib do you just put them into a twin bed?
Re: XP: non-conversion crib ?
We did just cribs with both of ours. I will do just cribs for these. The conversion beds seem like a rip off to me because you still have to move them to a twin/full whatever bed at some point.
We moved our boy to a full sized bed just before 2 because he was climbing out often. We first just put the mattress on the floor for awhile, then we put the bed together.
Our little girl turns two next week. We will move her to a big bed as soon as our new furniture comes in for our boy and girl to share a room. They will be in bunk beds with my boy on top, her on the bottom.
I would go for the JCP bed!
