GT Ladies...

My niece is in town for the week and is interested in GT as a potential school.   (She's going to be a junior)

Do you think its possible to get a last minute tour of the school and talk to an admissions person this week?    What do you think the chances are?  Is that something that needs to be schueduled well in advance?

    Shouldn't be a problem.  She may not get the "official" tour, but I'm sure there's someone in Admissions that can do it.

    Does she have any idea what she might major in?  Might be worth contacting the individual school, too.

    but in all seriousness, I'm pretty sure she could get a tour. here's a link where she can register for one:

    and she should try to meet with the college/program she is interested in as well.

    The admissions office does daily tours and you can register online - I doubt it will be much of an issue since it's the summer, etc.  Information and registration are available online: https://www.admission.gatech.edu/campus_visits/daily/

    There are freshman info sessions and campus walking tours.  Shouldn't be an issue to get in, though.

    hehe that video makes my ears, eyes, and heart hurt.  I told Joey that its so bad it seems more like a video that GT kids would make making fun of UGA. 

    Michelle, if you want to take Caroline and Georgia one day this week, I'll take your niece down and give her an unofficial tour.  9 months pregnant, and 3 toddlers - no problem, right? Big Smile

    I signed her up for a tour on Tuesday at 10.   I figure an appointment scheduled could mean that I would go into labor.

    I'm not looking to get into a UGA vs GT pissing match here, but "real" school? That's really what you want to go with here?
