Carmen or Lauren?

My dh and I were planning on using Lauren for our baby girl - but he has always love the name Carmen.  Which one do you like better?

I have a bad association with the name Lauren, & never really loved it in the first place. To me, it's dated.

So Carmen. (But not Carmin, Carmyn etc.)

I like them both, but think Carmen is really beautiful and not overused at all.

I think both are beautiful, but because you never hear it anymore (or at least I don't), I vote Carmen.

My MIL is Carmen, therefore I pick Lauren!

I love Lauren.  It's been my favourite name for a girl since I was 10 years old (I'm 35 now).  If this one is a girl, as you can see by my names list, she will be Lauren.

Carmen by a huge mile. A very pretty and feminine name, not too overused. Lauren is bleugh to me, bad associations and way too popular.
