Part time daycares for newborn in Fort Myers area?

I am currently in a situation where the MIL thinks she is going to have the baby while the hubby and I work. I am completly against this idea and trying to get my ducks in row for when the conversation takes place. Does anyone know of any daycares in the fort myers area that would take a newborn 3 days a week, and will they only charge for those days, or will I be charged for full 5 day week?

  • I don't know of any centers that will do this, but some home providers will. My mom currently watches dd, but we will need to look for a daycare come January. I'm sorry I'm not much help, but I'd be interested if you find anything.

  • I will let you know if I find anything. I am thinking I will need to go the home route also. I am fine with that, but unfortunately all my friends with babies have their's in daycare, so I may be out of luck with referals!

  • I am actually looking for the same thing, 3 days a week. I have worked in day care during college and I was very hesitant about having a child in day care. But seeing how much a nanny costs, it seems like it's our only option. I know you can do part time at the YMCA b/c I used to work at one back in PA during college so I am assuming it's the same down here. There is a place called Grace Community School that I saw online that I might go check out but I don't know anything about their reputation. The FM location is off of Colonial. Good Luck and please let me know if you find anything either.
