I thought it was depressing to read that women who conceive within 6 months of their m/c have the highest birth rates. LAME.
Yeah, I would have LOVED to have been pregnant within 6 months of my miscarriage....
I guess it makes sense when you think about it. Women who conceive more than 6 months after their m/c are much more likely to have IF. And the bottom line is that having IF makes it less likely that you'll have a live birth.
"Women who suffer a miscarriage may have the best chance of having a baby if they get pregnant again within six months."
Does this mean 6 months of TTC immediately after the m/c? Or just 6 months, plain and simple? It's been 7 months since I lost the last baby, but I've only been trying for 2 cycles.

Based on the tone of the whole article....I would guess they mean women who conceived within the first 6 months after their m/c. But I could be wrong.

It is an interesting read. I didn't find you girls until after my second loss, but after my first loss, my OB told me to wait 3 cycles. I did, but if she said 6, I probably wouldn't have listened.

Re: Interesting m/c study (sorry if it's been posted).
Really, though, I've never heard of anyone being told to wait 6 MONTHS to ttc again. In fact, I had no idea that was the WHO recommendation.

I agree, lindsay, the most likely reason for the less than 6 mos rowd having more success is that they don't have IF problems. And also age.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!
