Baby room/monitor question...

DD never wakes up crying. Whenever she wakes up she just "talks" softly, or stands and I hear her jumping in the crib, or sometimes grunts. Even in a smaller 2 bedroom place I need the monitor to know when she is awake. 

Obviously I don't want to have 2 monitors in my ear every night so WWYD? I think she will be young (16 months old) when LO#2 arrives to be in a toddler bed. LO#2 will be in my room the first 3 months but after that he/she will be in their own room, we are moving to a 3 bedroom house.

I am buying another camera for our video monitor and will just switch the handheld between A and B to see both rooms. I'll keep it mostly on the baby's room at night since DS is a good sleeper through the night (he also can wake up and just quietly play) and will cry out if he absolutely needs something.

DD never wakes up crying so i was in the same boat.  we ended up getting the Summer Infant Slim and Secure monitor.  it has the capability to scan up to 4 cameras every 8 seconds, we just purchased a 2nd camera for the new nursery.  it has been great so far, i've been using both cameras for about a week now (DD has been napping in the new nursery while we are having some construction done in the bathroom beside her room) and i LOVE not having to worry about 2 separate monitors.

the video is great as well as the sound - i definitely recommend it!!!

I've been wondering the same thing! We will be looking to move DD shortly but even when she's napping I find it a pain to go up and get the base from DS's room and plug it in in our room if I put her up there (I do sometimes put her upstairs to nap if he's awake downstairs becuase DS is noisy and often wakes her up). I know its not really that big a deal but I would LOVE to find a monitor that has two bases and only one parent unit but they all have one base and two parent units.
