OB/Gyn Recommendations

I'm switching OB/Gyns and am looking for a new one.....

Any suggestions?  Someone in the Med Ctr is preferable.

I see Dr. Sarah Jurney at the Complete Women's Care Center.  Her office is in the Med Center (UTHSC building) and she delivers at either Memorial Hermann (Med Center) or St. Luke's.  I absolutely LOVE her, and I like all of the other doctors in the practice, too!  Could not recommend them enough!

My mom has used him for years and LOVES him! I think he delivered me and he definitely delivered my sister.

I couldn't agree more with this!  Dr. Jurney is so amazing and made me feel listened to and never rushed.  i had a crowd for each of my deliveries with family and she was great with all of them and so patient when my DD was not coming as quick as she'd like (big baby).  ultimately waiting allowed me a natural delivery.  LOVE HER!  plus when you deliver a baby with them, they give you a gift card for portrait sessions with the photographer they use.  nice little perk.

I'll second Dr. Hector del Castillo.  I haven't used him but several of my friends have and they LOVE him. I would have used him, but he has a limited number of insurance plans that he accepts and mine was not one of them.

I'm kinda glad I couldn't use Dr. del Castillo though because I never would have found my doc and I LOVE him.  Dr. James Burkhead at Kelsey-Seybold at Women's.  He is very kind, patient and he LISTENS and talks to you on your level.

I go to Dr. Samuel Law at Partners in Ob/Gyn Care in Scurlock Tower of Methodist.  He's not for everyone though because he is very clinical.  If you have issues though, he's a great doctor.  After 5 m/c with another dr, he's worked with me and tried some different things to keep me pregnant.  He's also not afraid to refer for a consult if necessary.  He sent me to a MFM specialist to make sure he wasn't missing something in my workup which I appreciate because a lot of doctors act as though they know everything and can't possibly have missed something.

He's a bit socially awkward which turns some people off, but he's really a nice man and does a great job.  Both of my aunts were with him for 2 babies each and recomended him to me.
