If our little Mariana were to have a baby sister, would Adriana be totally out of the question?? If it matters at all, we have a big fat greek last name that starts with a K.
Although I probably wouldn't do it personally, especially since these are both pronounce -ahna, rather than a slight variation of -ann/-ahna/-ayna or something, I don't hate the combo. I think the beginning sounds of the names are different enough that it wont be obnoxious. My best suggestion would be, if you love Adriana, keep it on the list and see if you fall in love with something else--if not, Adriana it is. There are certainly worse name combinations in the world: )
Thanks gals. I was thinking the same, but I had to ask... And for the record, my mari's name is pronounced like "marry" "Anna". Adriana would be the same - like the soprano's Adriana.
