anyone have some awesome playroom (or even a fun nursery) pictures bookmarked?
We are transforming a corner of our basement into a play area. It's blank slate and I think it would be really hard to paint just one corner of the 700+ sq ft. open space but if you have ideas let me know.
what I have now:
chalkboard decal
vintage inspired flash cards.
I'm thinking of making a couple of these to hang on the wall:
sooo... i have some ideas but i'm lacking the big picture vision...
Re: help me decorate... BR edition :)
i'm not very good w/that kind of stuff but i'm so excited to see before/after pics

hmmm... vintage toys is the nursery theme. i'm not delusional enough to think that it will stay that way forever, so I will probably try to incorporate some of the same ideas downstairs. I'm thinking maybe vintage class room (but no apples or anything crazy) because of the flash cards and chalkboard. I have been keeping my eye out for a nice school desk on CL - I would love to find a wooden one and sand and paint red or something but s far no luck.
I like that rug you posted about from ikea...
It is a cool rug, isn't it?
How about an old school wooden toy chest? Even if the finish isn't very good, you could repaint it (plain paint, or stencil ABCs on it, etc).
If you want more wall art, how about picking up an old, classic children's book - like Beatrix Potter or The Velveteen Rabbit or some kind of alphabet book - and cutting out the illustrations (or even entire pages complete with text) and framing them?
