I feel very weird about these "sail around the world solo" kids. I can't imagine that the kids haven't been programmed, to a great degree, by parents' ambitions for them to be the youngest to claim the honor.
I think it is child neglect personally, if not child endangerment. I don't agree with it at all. There is a vast difference between climbing even Mount Everest with a child and sending them off to sea for 15,000 to 25,000 miles (depending on the route).
