(I'm referring to a peanut-free "peanut butter" product)
dd is starting kindergarten in the fall and I'll need to pack lunches. she's not allergic to nuts but I prefer not to send it on the off chance that someone who is allergic comes in contact. Peanut butter rollups (tortilla) are our easiest lunch around here.
does it taste like real peanut butter?
ETA - also, where can I buy it normal? normal grocery store or some place like TJs or Whole Foods?
Re: tell me about sun butter (I think that's what it's called)
We used it with DD and DS until they were each 3 (we have a strong family history of food allergies) they both loved it and still do ( we do eat peanut butter but when we have friends over with allergies we eat the sun butter).
It is a little expensive but worth it if you can't do peanut butter for whatever reason...nothing is easier than a SB&J sandwich.
One thing you might want to know is that it's pricier than PB. It runs about $7/jar here.
And the Trader Joe's sunflower seed butter is actually manufactured by SunButter, but tends to be cheaper.
