Hello,

So, I had a back to back IUI on July 26 and 27.  I took clomid and an ovidrel shot.  My doctor told me to wait until August 14 to take a hpt.  Do I really need to wait that long?  Has anyone managed to wait that long?  I don't even know how I'm going to get through the two weeks, by the time I get to the 14th it will be almost three weeks after the iui.  

 I guess I just wanted to vent.

    my nurse told me to wait till I was a whole cycle late to test. I think she doesn't have a clue..a 2ww is long enough..how can they expect us to wait 3?

    I am so there with you.  Basically my period is expected Aug. 11, so I have to wait two days after that to test.  It is just hard to not obsess, stress, and just constantly think about it.  What if it is a positive?  What if it's a negative?  What if........Good luck to you. :)  Let's send out positive thoughts into the universe. :)

    I think its reasonable to test 14 days after your IUI.  Its really hard to wait.  Good luck

    I had my IUI on July 28 and I was on 50mg clomid and an novarel (hcg) shot day before IUI.  My dr told me to wait 10-14 days before testing as I took 10,000 units hcg and it normally leaves your body at about 1000 units each day.  I am going to try my best to wait 14 days, but it is going to be so hard. 

     Has anyone had cramping or lower back aches?  I have felt mild cramping off and on for the past two days, but my lower back pain started today.  Any idea?

    Jcath - thanks for the response.  If I counted correctly the 14 day will be on the 10th, it just seems so much better than the 14th.  I just found out that DH will be going out of town, and leaves the 13th, so I will try my best to wait until the 13th the test.  I definitely want to let him know the results.

     

    Nola - I've been experiencing slight cramping and lower back pain since the IUI.  But, it seems that I have been especially aware of all my aches and pains. Best of luck to you. :)
