I cannot even thank you ladies enough for your thoughts and prayers and positive energy. My little Marigold needed it so badly these last few days.
We literally just got home and I had to pop in and thank you... especially now that she's sleeping so peacefully.
So, the doctors are chalking this whole awful illness up to a bad virus. They literally tested her for everything. They cultured everything. They physically looked her up and down and poked and prodded and made sure they left no stone unturned.
This was a living nightmare.
But, she's ok and we're ok and she's getting better and better. I've never seen a baby so sick in my life... and I've also never seen a baby get so much better so quickly. Someone in Greece recently said to me "babies are so resilient, don't you worry!" when I was talking to them about Mari's sleeping schedule and boy, was she right.
So, because I'm a camera whore, I took some pics while she was there. We were at an amazing children's hospital in Long Island and the staff there was just wonderful.
Even though she doesn't look 100%, I just had to share these pics because they make me melt inside.

Thank you again, so much, for all of your support. I am so blessed and so thankful to have you all in my life... and so is Peter. You gals really impressed him ![]()

And I promise, the next pics that are coming WILL be of Greece!
Re: We're Home!!!
It is SO wonderful to hear that she is doing better. I can't imagine what this must have been like for you. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful this news makes me feel, I was terribly worried about her.
And I can't wait to see your Greece pics!
YAY!!! I'm so glad you all are home!!! Brett and I were both praying for all of you. What a relief.
So, the nerurological issues are being chalked up to the virus as well?

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the best news ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so glad she is doing better, and that you are all home!!!!
I wanted to text you this whole time but I did not have your number...we must exchange numbers
SO glad you guys are back home and Mari is doing a lot better!!!!! *HUGE sigh of relief!*
As I posted in another thread, the esact same thing happened to the LO that I babysit. She was about 6 or 7 months old at the time and spent her first Christmas in the hospital. It was about a week, but she went home and made a 100% recovery. They never did find a reason, just called it a really nasty virus. She is 13 months old now and perfectly healthy & has had no ill effects from the virus. Hopefully, Mari will have the same quick recovery.
I'm so.freaking.glad to hear the good news!! I was so worry about her and you guys. It's like a weight lifted off my shoulders to know that she is fine...so I can't even begin to imagine how relieved you guys must be feeling. And...I love the pics...I can't believe that even sick Mari looks so cute...she is definitely a little supermodel
