Thoughts on name

I really like Harper Ann for a girl. What do you think? Is it too masculine? DD is Amelia.

  • Yes, I think it's too masculine. Amelia is a lovely, feminine name. I will never understand the appeal of Harper. I always think of harpoon and harping on someone. Sorry, but I really dislike it! What about:

Nicolette, Arden, Sabrina, Sonia, Thalia, Cara, Lucia or Josefina?

    Good luck!

  • LOVE Harper for a girl.  It's in my top 5.
  • I like both names individually but together I do not think they go. One is trendy and the other is classic. Although, I like sibling names to be in similar style.

  • Not a big fan of Harper for a girl. Maybe because its the name of the community college I attended?? I think you should go with a strong consonant name because I think vowel names tend to be so passive sounding.
  • Sounds good to me.  Harper seems to be really popular on this board these days for a girl.  I've never heard of a boy named Harper.

  • I love Harper & I think it goes well with Amelia! I'm not crazy about Ann as a middle name though.
  • I don't find it masculine, and it goes well with Amelia.
