my baby's name

As I said from the beginning, me and DH wanted to keep our names a secret despite the fact that we'd had names picked out for years.  I did end up disclosing our girl name to 2 other girls on this board though.  Someone else was coincidentally thinking of using the name Caroline Reese until she found out she was having a boy.  Obviously, I also shared this with Shannon, too, since she already has a sweet Caroline.

Aside from just loving the name, there is a family meaning behind her name.  My father's family is of Irish decent and his name is Carroll III.  Despite being named after his father and grandfather, he hated his name growing up since Carroll is not a common male name in the US.  He and my mother opted not to carry on the family name with any of my 3 brothers.  My dad's family was not too thrilled about that.  I always wanted to use the name Caroline as a way to sort of carry onthe name.  Needless to say, my dad's family (and my dad) are thrilled about it.
