Really, Carters?

I was shopping today for some fall clothes for E.

I was looking at the super cute Carter's shirt and pants sets.

$20.00  a pair?!?!?!?

I'm sorry but I just can't justify that.  No matter how cute they are.

That is why I only go there when I have a 20% off coupon. (Although now that we know #2 is a girl, I don't feel quite as bad about spending $$ on baby clothes since they'll get use for two children.)

I hear ya, I won't spend that much on clothes.  I wait until I have a coupon and the stuff goes on sale.  BRU usually has carter's clothes on sale for BOGO 50% off.

I just got DD some carter's fleece sleepers from Costco for $7.49 each.  They always have a ton of carters clothes and jammies for super cheap.

I hate Carter's. Their clothes are overpriced and not very good quality. They shrink to easily. I like Crazy 8 better. Waaay better quality (they are a sister co of Gymboree).

really? I have never had a problem with them. I have only had Gerber clothes shrink.

They are still a little expensive (but I'm cheap)..Probably 1/3 the price of Gymboree. I get DS' stuff off the clearance racks. Their PJ's are AWESOME!!

really? I have never had a problem with them. I have only had Gerber clothes shrink. 

Yeah, unfortunately. Now I just hang dry everything regardless of the brand.

ITA. ?I love carters clothes but they shrink so much after the first wash. ?I am a HUGE Crazy 8 fan. ?I love that store. ?Their clothes are a bit more on the expensive side but if you wait a week it all goes on sale. ??

I usually find some pretty good deals on Carters stuff at Kohls.  Unless it's on sale I won't buy it because full price Carters is ridiculous!

Like pp said, I get my carters at costco. Another great place is TJMaxx, but of course it is hit or miss.

I only shop at a Carter's store when there is a sale and a coupon involved.

I get mine at Meijer's and Kohl's. Otherwise, I get their brand Just One You (used to be Just One Year) at Target and the Child of Mine at Wal-Mart.

This. I'm pretty sure they make their regular prices like that with the intention of never selling anything at full price, because its always on sale. Or at least when I've been in, everything is, some days better than others of course.

I've noticed that department stores like Macys, Bon Ton, etc. sell Carter's brand at an "everyday" sale price. Check out macys website for example they call it an "everyday value". So even though its marked full price at $20 the price the department stores really sell it at is closer to $10. Hope that makes sense, just don't ever pay full retail price for Carter's.

At the Carter's Outlet today I got 4 pairs of shorts, 4 onesies and 2 tops for $35 including tax.

I work at a Carters & anything that comes in is at least 25% off usually the accessories & the clothes usually start at 30% off.  Right now there is a lot of 40 & 50% off clothes plus summer clearance,  and I think the next big clearance will be December.

The first week in July, Sears will put all their Carters clothing on clearance for 75-90% off.  I got 24 outfis for next summer for less than $100.
