I feel like I still have time (though last week I was measuring 3 weeks ahead
) but I am starting to panic. We are team green and I am about 100% convinced that it's a boy. Everyone who has looked at me has said boy. I'm really stuck on Atticus Jeremiah for a boy but also still liking Zander James, which was in the top 3 when we were team green with DD. My slight problem with both names though is the lack of nicknames (though right now I am calling DD Grasshopper and that's no where close to her name
). My mom finally looked at me today and said she feels like it's another girl. I sort of panicked because I am nowhere near picking a girls name. Adaliese is at the top, followed by Sienna but I'm really not loving either of them. And I have no idea on middle names. With DD, we had her name picked out at about 14 weeks and then when she was born I spent the next 2 days deciding whether I liked the name and finally settling on it because we couldn't come up with another one. I was hoping to do a little better this time. DH is no help whatsoever. He has made about 3 realistic suggestions between the 2 pregnancies but once DD was born, said I could name her whatever I wanted anyhow.
Re: Starting to panic a little
Don't worry about nicknames. They'll come with the LO (as you said, Grasshopper is no where near your DD's actual name). I like Jeremiah (and it comes with several nicknames--Jeremy, Jerry, etc.). Maybe Jeremiah Atticus? Atticus is too Gladiator for me.
Zander always reminds me of that movie Zoolander for some reason. I really like Xavier. Xavier James would be a great name.
Also, what about Ezra, Ezekiel, Jonah, or Abram?
For a girl, what about Adelle, Adelaide, Camille, Cora, Emeline, Delilah, Nadine, Rosaline, or Brenna?
Just some suggestions that (in my head anyway!) kind of match what you already posted.
Then, realistically, it seems like you should pick names to suit yourself, excluding anything you know he hates and that will be the baby's name. I think you're making this much more difficult than it needs to be; your husband clearly isn't very opinionated about names and will likely be happy with anything you choose. Find something you love and go with it.
ETA: What's your daughter's name? That might help us make suggestions.
very interesting choices! i prefer atticus over zander by a long shot, but i think perhaps atticus james would be less of a mouthful than atticus jeremiah.
adaliese sounds pretty, but it hurts my eyes to look at. maybe adeline or adalise? sienna is fine, but NMS. i think, as pp said, we would be able to help more if we know your other LO's name.
good luck!
