"Growing pains" in 4 year old

Does anyone have a few ideas to help ease the pain of "growing pains"? My DD has been getting them lately and we have tries: massage, heat and Tylenol.

Do you have any other ideas to help?

Thanks

  • Teach her to do some basic stretches, make sure she's getting plenty of water and sleep, and try feeding her a banana a day.  If that stuff doesn't work, my pedi said motrin works better than Tylenol for growing pains.

  • We give motrin at night and rub her feet. This seems to help.

  • i had growing pains as a child. i took tylenol and i laid down and someone rubbed my leg or legs, whatever hurt. that always worked for me.

  • we do tylenol, massage his legs (around knees) and that's all I guess.....   He has had them for awhile now... randomly. I noticed that when he has more physical activity during the day and in the evening, he may get them...
