how many cloth wipes should I have ready to go?

I have 40 cloth wipes ready to go for my newborn. Do you think that's enough? I almost have the same amount in diapers and I'm assuming I'd probably use 2-3 wipes for a true blow out. I'd like to have the option to do laundry every 3rd day if I had to work crazy hours. Should I get more or is this enough?

Forty is probably good.  We had 50 and I didn't need that many.

I think 40 is plenty.  And there's no way you'll even fit 40 diapers in your washer so I wouldn't worry too much about trying to match wipes to diapers.  We have about 30 wipes and have never run out though it has been close a couple times.

That is plenty! We have about 45 diapers and 24 wipes. Plenty of wipes, and we wash every other or every third day.
