I'm sorry to keep invading your board, but you ladies know more about double strollers than any other.
Has anyone used their infant car seat on a side-by-side stroller? Specifically the BJ City Mini or the Bumbleride Indie Twin?
We just can't quite make up our minds - I think DH is swaying towards the more expensive option (b/c everything is included), but I'm still stuck - I don't wnat to commit wihtout being able to know if I can get DD rear-facing easily. I loved that DS could sit rear-facing in his single stroller for 12 months and hate to give that up.
Thanks!
Re: car seats and SBS strollers?
We actually couldn't get our chicco keyfit in a used 2008 bumbleride! We have the regular keyfit and eventually wedged it in, but it crowded DS' side too much. That and DS looked like he would be too long for the bumbleride in about six months.
I'm starting to lean towards a tandem. I LOVE the city mini double but I can't image spending that much on a stroller. Plus, our carseat doesn't fit unless we spend $100 on the chicco adapter.
Thanks ladies. I guess what I'm wondering though is how crowded the other seat is when you have a car seat in them? One poster said it looked really cramped - is that often the case?
We have the Indie Twin and the snugride fits great in it. It doesn't intrude into the other seat.
