Anyone have the Droid X or LG Ally??

I'm looking for opinions on either one.  I'd prefer the iphone but will not leave Verizon, so not an option for me right now.  I'm debating whether or not I even need a smartphone but if I do, it's narrowed down to these 2. 

I get that the X has tons of features but I'm wondering if it's too much for what I even need. I could go with the cheaper Ally.  But I'm kinda a gadget geek so I like the idea of having the best thing I can get outside of the iphone.

Basically, I do basic web surfing, email, text.  Some pics but still carry my reg. camera.  Pandora and some kids games.

 

Any opinions???

I am a huge fan of the Droid, I got it when it first came out last November. I will be getting the new X on the 9th. Cant wait.

I ldont have the X but love it and would recommend it over the Ally any day. If you're paying for the same data feature you might as well go with it. The X is still on backorder though and I can remember what it said the ship by date is right now.

My DH is relatively tech savvy and he won't stop talking about getting his stupid X :-) I think it's supposed to arrive on the 4th. Not a moment too soon!

Good point Belle!  I guess outside of the initial cost, I'd probably rather have the better phone!  Hmmm, decisions, decisions!
