It's gotten progressively more irritating over the weekend, just in time for my doctor's office to be closed. I plan on calling tomorrow to see what I can do to treat it, but has anyone else treated a UTI while pregnant? What did they do-just the usual suppositories?

Re: think I have a UTI
Oh no - I am so sorry hon.
I'm not sure what you can take while pregnant. Is there a 24 hour question line you can call at your OB?
Hope you feel better soon.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
Call your OB first thing in the morning - UTIs are not something you want to mess around with while pregnant.
I've had two (I actually have one right now) but never got any typical symptoms.
You can't take bactrim (sp?) while pregnant - and that is what is normally prescribed for UTIs. You also can't take the "pain" medication that changes the color of your pee.
The one medication that my Peri prescribes is macrobid (sp?). I take it for 7 days twice a day.
I hope you start feeling better!
That is what I took for mine. I actually had one and did not have any symptoms. So I am constantly monitored now by my OB. After the medication protocol I noticed a difference in the amount of peeing I had to do but I still worry about it since it is not uncommon during pregnancy for the symptoms to be masked.
Hi ladies,
Thanks for the info! I DEFINITELY will be calling first thing-can't take much more of this discomfort, but was afraid to take anything that my doctor didn't prescribe/recommend. And I'm totally paranoid about the baby. Thanks again!
