on Thursday when the Dr. told me I was having twins, I literally asked no questions. I went through some previous posts and saw that many of you liked the book by Dr. Luke which I picked up & am about 1/2 way through at this point. It answered a bunch of questions that were popping up in my head but there is one thing I keep wondering about. Is it possible that my early u/s report (it was about 6.5 weeks) says if they're idenical or fraternal? If there is a possibility that its on there I want to call and ask. If not, when would I be able to find that out What do you guys think?
Thanks : )
Re: Because I was in shock...
the only way to 100% know if they are ID is if they are in the same sac... otherwise it's never 100% sure ... if they are the same sex.
they can make a guess and are usually right - by looking at the membrane, etc... but if it's b/b or g/g twins - there is always a chance they are ID- which you'd have to do testing after they are born to confirm.
congrats! And smart to read Dr. Luke's book right away - it helped me a lot!
Thanks! I'm so curious because I really though there was only one sac/one baby while at that u/s it wasn't until a month later that my Dr. told me about the twins. I wonder if they'll be annoyed if I call with a non-medical question....
