Canning is exhausting!

It probably wouldn't be as exhausting if I hadn't been up since 5 am since I couldn't sleep. 

What a day! Picked peaches at 8, nephew's flag football game at 10, hair appt at 12:30 (highlight and cut, and I loved every minute of it Embarrassed ), cleaned green beans with DH from 3:30-5:30, dinner, canning prep...present.

But my first batch of pressure canning is almost complete.  2 more batches of beans to go tomorrow, a 1/2 bushel of peaches, and a batch of brocolli to blanch and freeze.  I got 18 quarts of green beans so I'm excited to see how we do with the peaches.  The shelves are getting stocked...and I'm wiped!!

  • Oh no, no matter what time you wake, it's exhausting.  It does help to do it on days that aren't overly hot.  The heat in the kitchen is enough!

  • No kidding.  I have tomatoes rotting on the vine because I cannot find enough hours in the day to get everything done!
